STORY OF AN ARTIST

Kiara (Kiartistics) is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, and designer from Miami, Florida. Influenced by a creative family of singers, painters, and craftspeople, she began drawing in 2009 as a self-taught artist. Her work has since evolved from freehanding cartoon characters, to a focus on realistic portraiture and illustrative imagery.

Kiara studied Game Design and Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design  and has exhibited her work at venues including the Beaux Arts Festival, Binder’s Limelight Gallery, and the Fulton County Library. She has also contributed to public murals and received an Honorable Mention in SCAD Atlanta’s Beyond the Dot exhibition.

In addition to her fine art practice, Kiara is the owner and lead artist of KILO Tattoo, a private studio suite based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. As a tattoo artist with three years of experience, she specializes in illustrative and realistic black and gray work, while also offering custom fine line and script designs. Her approach to tattooing mirrors her traditional art foundations—balancing soft shading with bold contrast to create pieces that feel both intentional, unique and deeply personal.

Kiara views each tattoo as a collaboration and strives to make every design unique to the individual. Her subject matter often draws from her artistic roots, featuring women, animals, floral elements, and celestial or spiritual themes. She has participated in events such as the inaugural Treasure Coast Tattoo Convention in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she tattooed, exhibited, and sold original art. She continues to expand her portfolio through her growing studio practice and freelance illustration work.
